Martina McBride (Martina Marie Schiff nació el 29 de julio de 1966 en Sharon, Kansas, EE.UU.) es una cantante norteamericana de Country .Esta artista, ganadora de Grammys por su estilo de música country, descubrió su gusto por la música country a través de su padre, Daryl, quien tenía una banda local denominada The Schifters. En su adolescencia formó parte de la banda de su padre como cantante y en los teclados también.
Hizo su debut en 1992 y desde entonces ha cosechado gran número de éxitos, como «Independence Day», «I Love You» (la BSO de la película «Novia a la fuga») o «Concrete Angel», entre otros.
Su música, con letras con mucha fuerza, se centra básicamente en ritmos country y pop.
En el año 1988 se casó con el ingeniero McBride y a partir de entonces decidió utilizar el apellido de casada.Se mudaron a Nashville en 1990 y dedicó parte de su tiempo a la crianza de sus tres hijas : Delaney Katharine, Emma Justine y Ava Rose Kathleen. Sin embargo, nunca abandonó su verdadera pasión y así fue como en el año 1992 firmó contrato con RCA y lanzó su primer album, The Time Has Come.
El éxito llegó pronto gracias a su single-hit "My Baby Loves Me", perteneciente a su segundo album editado en 1993:The Way That I Am.
Para el 2005 lanzó un album con 18 canciones clásicas de country, el cual se denominó Timeless.En el 2007 lanzó Waking Up Laughing y en el año 2009 lanzo su ultimo album de estudio Shine
